Waiting for the world to change

At thirty eight weeks and two days pregnant with my fourth child, I am waiting. Waiting for the world to change.

I know considering that I’ve done this a few times before, you wouldn’t think it would not be that big of a deal.

But, it really is. This will change everything.

Slowly at first.

And mostly for me than anyone else.

Even more sleep deprivation, diapers, laundry, and schedules.

But, then the effects will spread.

Turning our family of five into a family of six.

Change her siblings lives in more ways than I can count.

A brand new set of toes to count.

Another person to share with, plot against mom with, and feed the ducks with.

And as she grows, bring another set of ideas opinions and talents into this world that will continue to change with her, in front of her, and because of her.

And so with this very short post I wait, for the entire world to change.

Anybody want to guess what day it will all become true? Your guess is as good as mine.

  1. I loved being pregnant. You know, I always read the ends of books first because I cannot stand the suspense. However, I so enjoyed being pregnant that I didn’t feel the need to rush to get to the end.

I read a post today about another mom waiting – and wrestling with the comfort in keeping the baby safe inside – because we have less control when it comes outside! This mommy thing is so complex – maybe that’s why I savored the inside time – they don’t argue there! LOL

Be blessed these last few weeks. Savor how your family is right now – and then, when it’s time, you will totally embrace how your family grows:)

Sadly, I am not nearly as graceful with pregnancy. As much as I would like to be.
I am generally tired sore and impatient with the whole thing. I would love to learn how those beautiful graceful creatures glow when heavy with child. When I seem to just grow huge with child and hormones and fatigue…

    July 28th lol ;)

  4. Wow, you are so close! Congrats! I have three and definitely think about how a fourth would change our lives. In some ways, not so much, in others, as you mention, it would change everything. For the better!

Wow! How exciting! A family of 6! That is so awesome! I can’t wait to hear about your journey! My husband and I have been trying for a little over a year now for our 1st. I have a some infertility issues. But I still dream that some day I can have a family of 6 too!
