So it’s Sunday and time for a quick round of Stream of Consciousness with All Things Fadra . Just five minutes to write down everything on your mind, and then publish. Ready? Here we go.
Baby Girl is three weeks old today. And it has been a busy three weeks, filled with sleep deprivation, diaper changes, frayed nerves and more trying to sell the house.
Entertaining and meeting the needs of four little people all five and under requires almost more energy than I can manage on a daily basis.
But, life sent me a bit of a reminder yesterday to appreciate every breath of it. A comment on an old post about pregnancy troubles that I had sort of forgotten about.
See, about four months into my pregnancy I thought I might be having a miscarriage. Luckily it turned out to be a false alarm. And probably the result of me trying to throw a surprise party for my husband’s birthday the next day.
So, instead of a big reveal with all of his friends standing in our living room the next after noon he got to hear about the details in the ER from his panicked wife. Good thing he has had a few years to get used to this kind of chaos. And gladly went shopping for his own party the next morning.
But even more fortunately, our bay girl was and still is fine. All ten toes, fingers, and newly acquired chubby cheeks and double chin.
She’s only been here with us for three weeks but it feels like a lifetime. Which I guess it really has been. Her entire lifetime.
