Staying home with the kids for New Years Eve was great. We had Martinelli’s, pizza, popcorn, and watched The Incredibles.
I could not have been happier to be spending the evening at home in my yoga pants, where I know everyone is safe. And there is no need to wonder how long I’m gonna last in a pair of heels.
However…
By the end of the next day staying home with the kids was enough to make me crazy. Like the walls are slowly closing in on me and if I hear the word MOMMY! at the screeching decibel we are all too familiar with around here my head may just explode and the last thing I need is one more mess to clean up kind of crazy. Ever felt that way before?
So to avoid THAT happening, today we did this.
and this
and of course this. Because what trip to Paramount Ranch would be complete without a trip to the barber shop?
So… ..if you find yourself with a pack of restless kids who need some wide open space and lots of loopy mostly flat and seriously easy to navigate with a jogging stroller (not shown) trails. Well, then this is your place. Even if you’ve got a complainer or two that is not up for an all out crazy adventure.
What are you doing with the kids this week?

Yes! Sometimes you just seriously have to get everyone OUT of the house to preserve some sanity!
Looks like the weather was nice for your adventure, too! HAPPY New Year. Hope it’s a WONDERFUL year!!!!
Beautiful photos, Andie! I don’t think there is ANYTHING better than being home in yoga pants any night, but especially NYE. And knowing everyone is safe. I do worry about that constantly because my kids are young adults and sitting home isn’t really their thing. But this year they were at their Dad’s and with family, so that’s a lot better than being “out.”
Belated Happy New Year!
